Muto,
Immersive dining experience
MUTO was the first interactive restaurant in Mexico and Latin America. We combined pan-Asian food and a series of technological developments made by Siete|media. Muto (in Spanish) comes from the verb to mutate and alludes to the constant transformation of the restaurant both in the gastronomic proposal and in the visual experience of the diners. To have visited the restaurant was to be on the border between gastronomy and design, between oriental and technological, and between high-tech and minimalism. The introduction of interactive media during the act of eating led to the creation of MUTO, which aimed to enhance the most natural moment of our lives. The interactive tables, crafted by Siete|media, featured touch sensors that allowed diners to conveniently access the menu and various restaurant services, including changing tablecloths or witnessing the chef prepare their ordered dishes directly on the table. These tables also offered the ability to connect smartphones and view YouTube videos collectively. In 2013 we closed the restaurant with the fond memory of having created an immersive experience that united space, vision, and gastronomy.

We remain infinitely grateful to all the friends and family who supported us in this project and to all the diners of this unique place in the history of the restaurant business in Mexico.
